This Privacy Policy explains how MoneyTrax (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the MoneyTrax mobile application on Android or iOS.
MoneyTrax is a personal expense-tracking utility. It is not a bank, payment processor, investment advisor, or financial institution.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Profile information: full name, email address, and mobile number that you enter when registering.
- Account credentials: a password that you create. The App stores only a salted cryptographic hash of your password on your device — not your password in plain text.
- Financial entries you create: expenses, income, categories, budgets, notes, payment methods, and related preferences.
- Device permissions (optional): local notification permission if you enable reminders.
2. How your data is stored
Expense, income, category, budget, preference, and profile data are stored locally on your device (SQLite / on-device preferences). MoneyTrax does not operate a remote expense database, Firebase backend, or cloud sync service for your money-tracking data.
Because data is local, uninstalling the App or using Delete Profile / clearing app data removes that local information from the device (see Section 6).
3. Consent processing (ConveyGrid)
When you create a profile, MoneyTrax may send your full name, email, and mobile number to ConveyGrid to create or verify consent records. If required consents are already granted, the consent screen may be skipped; otherwise ConveyGrid’s consent interface may appear.
ConveyGrid processing uses ConveyGrid’s servers and is separate from your local expense ledger. ConveyGrid’s own privacy practices apply to data they process. Contact ConveyGrid or your ConveyGrid administrator for details about retention of consent records on their systems.
4. Notifications
If you enable reminders, MoneyTrax may show local on-device notifications (for example daily expense reminders, or a confirmation when you log an expense). These do not require a push-notification server operated by MoneyTrax.
5. Exports and sharing
If you export a PDF statement or share content, the file is generated on your device and shared through the system share sheet you choose. MoneyTrax does not upload that PDF to a MoneyTrax server.
6. Account controls, logout, and deletion
- Logout locks the App session on this device. Your local data remains until you delete it.
- Delete Profile removes locally stored MoneyTrax profile, expenses, income, custom categories, budgets, and preferences from this device.
- Remote consent records (if any) on ConveyGrid may not be fully deleted by this App; that depends on ConveyGrid capabilities and configuration.
7. Children’s privacy
MoneyTrax is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, stop using the App and delete the local profile/data.
8. Data security
We use reasonable on-device measures such as salted password hashing for login. No method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and login credentials.
9. Third-party services
The App may interact with:
- ConveyGrid — consent creation / verification (name, email, mobile).
- Device OS services — notifications, share sheet, system theme.
Those parties process data according to their own terms and policies where applicable.
10. International users
If ConveyGrid or other configured services process data on servers outside your country, your profile contact details used for consent may be transferred as needed to provide that feature.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
